What is the purpose of this role?

Due to expansion an experienced Payment Administrator is needed to join a growing logistics and supply chain team.

The Payment Administrator will work closely with the Quantity Surveyors and Contract Manager on various agreements support and also support operational teams, sub-contractors and suppliers to resolve any invoice/cost queries.

What makes this role unique?

Your role will form part of our LMC (Logistics Management Centre) which is the in-house centre of excellence for the complex and diverse logistics functions within the company.

As a centralised operation, The LMC combines mobile equipment from strategic suppliers, hire companies and our partners into one integrated unit. This allows us to meet customer demands and provide the most effective use of equipment across all company sites and operations, thus presenting an end-to-end, single view of logistics demand and capacity.

This is a great opportunity for the right person to progress within the business and especially at a time where we are growing and expanding the LMC.

What will this role involve?

The Payment Administrator will:

Checking invoices against the payments applied for on our payment systems (SAP), assessing and processing subcontractor payment applications, ensuring that we are paying the correct amount and flagging up and challenging any anomalies.

Working closely with the Quantity Surveyor and/or Contract Manager on various agreements

Working closely with operational teams, sub-contractors and suppliers to resolve any invoice/cost queries.

Collate data and produce standard reports for use by the team, area or department.

Contribute to process, service and efficiency improvements.

Management of purchase orders and cost reconciliation.

Assist with budgets.

What skills are we looking for?

We are looking for diligent individuals who have previous payments administration experience or someone who may wish to train to eventually become a Quantity Surveyor as this role could lead to a great development opportunity for the right person.

You will need to be numerate, analytical and detail oriented, with good Excel skills.

Previous experience in SAP Inventory Management and Warehouse Management software advantageous.

You will be fully competent at using the appropriate Company IT systems and possess good inter-personnel skills; effective communicator; with an ability to work with minimum supervision, under own initiative to deliver specified outputs.

Information & Salary

This role is based at in Clearwater Court, Reading. We are offering a salary from £19,600 - £24,000 depending on your level of experience.
