Job Title: Parts Assistant
Location: Bedford
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours a week
Salary: £20,000
Job Type: Contract - 6 months

Our client, a UK wide fleet solutions company with over 25 years' experience are currently recruiting for a Parts Assistant to join the team on a contract basis for 6 months. The main responsibility of the position is to support the Parts Manager with the day to day parts process making sure that its efficient, effective and meets customer KPIs.

Key duties within this position include:
*Ordering all parts for job rectification from approved parts suppliers ensuring all processes are followed
*Doing regular stock checks for the department to monitor returns and stock levels whilst ensuring this is done with minimum waste/financial loss
*Action any unavailable parts by liaising with relevant departments
*Updating records, communicating delays through the system and escalating any issues with the Parts Manager
*Report to the relevant manager with any issues with parts on back order or supplier delays
*Keeping a strong relationship across all departments and providing an excellent customer service to key people within the business
*Support the Workshop Administration team and other departments as and when required

Skills/Experience Required
*Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
*Experience working within an automotive parts department
*Good general IT skills
*Experience working within an administrative role
