Job Description

A fantastic opportunity is available for a Part Time Administrator to join a small charity on a 6 month fixed term contract based in Birmingham city centre.

Role and responsibilities:

• Support the Charity Administrator dealing with telephone calls, correspondence and emails on a daily basis
• Assess emergency one off grant applications, liaise with referring bodies, request Trustee approval, write letters, arrange payments, maintain register and receipt log
• Maintain filing system and database records
• Dealing with general Charity matters as and when required

To be considered for this role you must have Administration experience within the Charity sector
• Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
• Ability to act on own initiative and work as part of a small team
• Excellent data handling and record keeping skills using Salesforce and Excel
• Excellent word processing skills using Microsoft Word
• The ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion, tact and empathy
• Demonstrate a commitment to equality and diversity issues
• Experience of the charity sector and benefits system desirable

The company are offering a salary between £11.50-£13.00 per hour depending on experience, 24 hours a week over 4 days
