Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Overhead Accountant to join our team based in offices in Salford Quays. You will provide SG&A Accounting services across Service Operations and Transversal Functions, including overhead cost reduction management, management and control of Balance sheet and P&L. Creates a business partner relationship with customers and all cross functional teams

Main responsibilities
  • First point of contact for senior budget holders, up to RLC level, across Service Operations, Transversal Functions and Geographies with regards to cost centre management
  • Drive meetings with senior budget holders to create and finalise budgets (annually) and forecasts (quarterly).
  • Solely responsible for producing accurate and timely Management Accounts on a monthly basis
  • Produce commentary for designated remit as determined by UK Reporting
  • Highlight any risk or opportunities on financial performance to budget holders and Overhead Controller
  • Support Overhead Controller in reporting expected Landing positions
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior budget holders through regular reviews to aid and increase understanding of their business areas and make challenges where appropriate
  • Any other tasks as requested by Overhead Manager
 
Ideal candidate
  • 2-3 years Management Accounting experience
  • Financial Acumen and analysis
  • Ability and confidence to build and maintain relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues
  • Ability to consistently deliver in a volume driven environment taking ownership of reported financials
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to deal with varying stakeholders throughout the business
  • Flexible approach and adaptable to a changing working environment.
  • Organised and methodical
  • Proactive, responsive and actioned orientated
  • Good excel skills
  • SAP / Essbase (desirable)
  • Part Qualified / Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA)
