This varied role is working for a leading Facilities Management Service Provider in London.

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager for an established and busy asset maintenance division.

Purpose:

To effectively manage the refrigeration portfolio, and to ensure high quality service standards and service delivery on the contracts. To manage and deliver agreed sales, performance KPI's and profit targets and report to Management board

Duties

To orchestrate and implement challenging growth plans for the refrigeration portfolio through continuous enterprising and strategic management.
To regularly meet with customer representatives to communicate key issues in support of sustaining the clients values and smooth running of the refrigeration portfolio.

To ensure the service delivery is provided in line with the contractual commitments and the clients expectations
To provide innovation, vision, leadership, business development, best practice solutions and bench-marking across the refrigeration portfolio.
To take full profit and loss responsibility for the refrigeration portfolio.
To ensure an annual and forward business plan are in place for the refrigeration portfolio.
To report to Operational Director any financial exceptions and other information as required.
To ensure that your Team understand their responsibilities with regard to financial performance against budget and implement action to ensure that financial targets are met.
To ensure that corporate policies and procedures are strictly adhered to, in order to maintain the integrity of the operational activities within the region
To attend scheduled and ad-hoc meetings as required by the Operational Director.
To communicate relevant issues to management team when appropriate and proactively request support when required.
To develop and inspire a professional team enabling them to meet both personal and business targets.
To provide clear operational direction and management to all staff across the portfolio.
To agree and to regularly review personal performance objectives for each team member and to undertake an annual appraisal with each direct report.
To provide technical and operational support across the wider business.
To implement and own mobilisation plans in line with roll out programme of client sites.
To identify operational improvements and enhancements to meet with contractual requirement of continuous improvement.

Person Specification

Technical Certificate or Diploma in Refrigeration / Air-Conditioning
Demonstrate experience in the Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning industry at a senior management level
An effective and progressive leader with experience of directing and developing multi-disciplined teams across wide geographical territories
An experienced leader of change with the ability to lead and direct others towards acceptance of new business ideas, methods and working practices.
A driver of people and projects with a very strong commercial awareness and a track record of achievement on complex and demanding contracts and accounts
Ability and experience in developing strong relationships with key customers to support portfolio development and long-term sustainable and profitable tenure
A proven track record of setting up and managing supply chain partners, multiple suppliers and sub-contractors

This role includes regular UK wide travel
