In conjunction with the Central Planning Team, produce optimal production and distribution plans for the site which meet customer requirements and maximise output for both functions.
Liaise with site Production Teams and Central Transport and Demand Planning Team to ensure that production and feed deliveries are effectively aligned.
Liaise with the Central Planning Team to ensure all available resources are fully utilised.
Support the achievement of agreed production targets whilst continually striving for greater efficiency.
Communicate with other business functions to understand and ensure customer expectations are met.
Liaise with site Maintenance Teams to schedule downtime and ensure optimal throughput.
Effectively and accurately maintain records on vehicles and drivers in line with current and future legislation.
Work with operational management team to control costs and produce relevant KPI's
Experience in a distribution support/administration or production/transport planning role
Proficient in MS Office including Excel and Word
Able to deliver a high standard of accuracy in data input and spread sheet maintenance
Experience of communications to groups and all levels in business
Problem solving abilities
Flexibility - hours to do the role, which will vary according to business priorities
CPC qualified or working knowledge of Transport legislation desirable but not essential
The working hours would start from 8am but will require flexibility due to the business demands Monday to Friday and is paying £8.50- £9 per hour.
This is a temporary position and will end August 2019.
Due to the location you will be required to be a car owner/ driver
