Location: South Gyle Crescent, Edinburgh EH12 9EB
Pay Rate: £17.00 per hour
Contract Term: Temporary ongoing until 31 December 2020
Working Hours: Core working hours 9am-5pm Monday to Friday
(Agile working may be considered when fully competent in role )

You will be acting as a subject matter expert for all client due diligence for Commercial Banking clients. You will be responsible for conducting ongoing know your customer reviews in line with regulatory standards and commitments to the FCA. As a subject matter expert, you will need to keep abreast of industry developments and initiatives, sharing information across appropriate teams within the division

Job Description:

  • Being a member of a dedicated AML due diligence team providing technical subject matter expertise to assess potential and actual risk within client portfolios in order to maintain Group-wide policy requirements and minimum standards in accordance with agreed risk appetite
  • Challenge the business to ensure Financial Crime risks are understood, mitigated and controlled
  • Responsible for explaining and supporting with complex due diligence requirements to both internal and external clients
  • Act as a liaison point for managing relationships within Commercial Banking, including collaborative working with AML partners

You will be expected to demonstrate:

  • Procedural/Product/Specialist Knowledge - strong technical knowledge of Anti-Bribery, AML and Sanctions and good technical knowledge of other financial crime areas
  • Oral and Written Communication - Strong communication skills
  • Organisational Awareness - Knows how to get things done and gain commitment
  • Stakeholder Management - Knows how to influence others to achieve objectives
