This is quite a varied administration role where you will be providing administrative support across the business, managing my client's database as well as answering the phones and dealing with customer enquiries; processing any information/orders/queries they give you.
*Checking all orders received to ensure that the correct information has been provided to ensure orders can be processed
*Ensuring all customer orders are scheduled in line with their requirements
*Taking and processing orders daily
*Dealing with existing customers over the phone
*Managing the office filing systems and ensuring they are kept up to date
*Arranging shipment returns
*Providing support to the office based staff
*Managing the database, including sale information
*Dealing with queries via phone and email ensuring the highest standard of customer care is adhered to
*Managing the diary as and when required
*Various other ad hoc tasks as and when required
The ideal candidate will:
*Have a good understanding of Microsoft Packages
*Be flexible and adaptable to work using their own initiative and within a busy office environment
*Be able to multitask and prioritise their own workload
*Take a broad perspective on the organisations goals
*Be able to efficiently and accurately input data
*Be a self-motivated team player
*Have excellent attention to detail and be able to spot discrepancies
You will ideally have previous administrative experience, however, this is not essential as full training will be provided by my client.
As you will be dealing with customers over the phone you must have an excellent telephone manner and be warm and welcoming.
My client is offering a competitive starting salary of £17,500 per annum. This rises to £18,000 per annum after 6 months' service and then £18,500 after 12 months' service.
Hours of Work: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm with 1 hour for lunch (the office closes 1pm-2pm to ensure everyone gets their lunch break!)
