During COVID-19, with nurseries remaining open, supply staff have been called upon to help now more than ever, and adhering to the safety measures of nurseries to ensure we keep them open for key workers children is key.

This role of being an ad-hoc day to day supply nursery nurse is perfect for those looking to work reduced hours and have the flexibility to decide the days they work. Being adaptable and thriving in new settings are key attributes of a candidate for this role, as is the ability to develop relationships with children and staff. Responsibilities
making sure that children are safe, happy and stimulated
communicating information to children using play
distracting children during clinical procedures
encouraging children's development
assisting with personal care on occasion

Requirements
level 3 NVQ in childcare, learning and development or equivalent
A DBS is desired, but we can help with processing one
creating a child friendly environment
maintaining toys and play equipment
stimulating children through play and encouraging learning
previous experience of working in a early years settings essential
