Vision for Education is looking to appoint a Nursery Assistant (TA) to join our successful supply team and work in a friendly day nursery in the Durham area. This is a part time supply role, which will commence as soon as possible until February half term at least. Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.

The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is a Level 2 Support Teaching and Learning / Childcare qualification.

The role

Working as part of a dynamic and creative team in a day nursery you will be providing general support for Early Years. The children have a mixture of needs, and you will be working in small groups as well as 1:1 on phonics and learning in Early Years. This role will be part time, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9am to 3pm. The school are looking for someone who has plenty of experience within an Early Years setting.

You will be joining a strong team in this small sized day nursery. The nursery provides good education to children. It is located within the DH6 postcode.

Requirements

To be considered for the Nursery Assistant (TA) position, you will:

Hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Children and Learning or Childcare.
Have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in a school environment.
Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.

Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
Ideally have experience delivering Literacy and Maths interventions.
