The Leeds/North Yorkshire Secondary branch at Protocol Education, works closely with schools across the region. Protocol Education has worked with schools in Leeds and North Yorkshire for over 20 years and so our partnership schools come to us for their recruitment needs whether that be for a maternity contract or a full academic year - with the opportunity for the teacher to be taken on by the school permanently.

Due to the current covid-19 climate, our schools are approaching us now for their staffing needs for September. There is a high demand for NQT's to start long term roles in September 2020 and registering now is key to ensure you are cleared and ready to speak with the school over video if needed and to ensure you have time to prepare. Schools are looking to us now for their September staff so please act urgently and apply to register with us if you are looking to secure a September post. We have a Future Teachers programme which our schools are actively involved with this is for our student and NQT teachers. With our Future Teachers programme schools will hire you for the academic year with the idea you will be taken on permanently through the school, they will mentor you and support you through your NQT year. Schools may even take you on permanently after the first term, should you feel you like the fit of the school.

We are looking for talented NQTs:
• Who look to meet all the teaching standards
• Really are able to inspire and engage their learners
• Differentiate and structure their lessons to cater for all
• Will support students with SEN
• Have excellent classroom management skills
• Who have excellent communication skills
• Who understand the importance of Safeguarding
• Who can provide two professional references from teaching placements
• You must be on track to gaining your QTS
(Schools will only take NQTs with QTS status)

If you have an extra interest in other areas of the Secondary curriculum please let us know schools will often gladly widen opportunities and provide you with experience in other departments and within extracurricular activities.

At Protocol Education we hold many training courses including safeguarding, career development and behaviour management courses. Many of us are ex-teachers and so we understand and can help you with your career development. Please apply now as we have September roles across the core subjects
