To carry out NDT inspections on spars and blades and to support the other functions within the department for the NDT issues.
To support the NDT inspections for Repair and Overhaul inside DCC, and outside the requests from the FAL, from the Customers and from the SMTE labs.
Key Responsibility Areas
*Carrying out NDT inspections on spars and blades and composite parts of the current DCC production, in according to the applicable Techniques.
*Assess results and approve as acceptable/unacceptable against technical document requirement.
*Preparing the results of NDT inspections in fully detailed reports.
*Reviewing the Instruction Cards Techniques and issuing fully detailed Instruction Techniques for the inspection of new experimental parts, to be approved from the Level 3
*Support the building of the reference standards, for UT and RT methods, in collaboration with M.E. and Production according to the drawing and specifications applicable (AWPAS and AWIS).
*Perform routine checks and issuing Qualification reports for NDT equipment, in according to the requirement of NDT process specifications (AWPS).
*Provide technical support to the Quality Manager DCC for non-conformance root cause analysis to the containment and corrective actions plans to eliminate re-occurrence.
*Take a proactive approach to improve and support all aspects of Health and Safety in DCC.
Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required
*A recognised experience in NDT inspections, Ultrasonic and X-ray methods, preferred aeronautical sector.
*Knowledge of composite material and processes, engineering design.
*Knowledge of specifications and rules of Quality System.
*Qualification as inspector level 2 in UT and RT, in according to the requirements of EN4179.
*Knowledge of the techniques in through transmission, pulse echo, pitch catch and phase d'array for UT and film, digital and computer radiography for RT.
* A thorough understanding and experience of using various applications of MS Office. SAP knowledge advantageous.
*High level of proven interpersonal skills, communication, negotiating skills and attitude to work in a team.
