Our client is a small, successful, and growing engineering company who are specialists within the design and build of special purpose machinery for use within industrial sectors. Due to growth, they are seeking to employ an Engineer to join them on a permanent full-time basis. As a specialist company, they will provide all training required for their product range. They are looking for a self-motivated engineer who is looking for a long-term career.
The role will be split between the workshop and visiting client's sites. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for carrying out work on the machine electrical and control systems, mechanical fault finding/repairs, including assembly, testing, servicing and commissioning.
The role may suit a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with experience in a manufacturing environment, as you will be required to carry out electrical and mechanical work on bespoke production equipment.
Working closely with your peers within the engineering team, you will help to deliver high quality work within budget, cost and time parameters.
You will follow best practice guidelines as laid out in specification documentation, including CE and UL.
Post Covid-19 pandemic, overseas travel can be an on-going requirement in this position, involving on-site commissioning and servicing of equipment, including fault finding and offering technical support.
This role will be split:
80% Workshop based
20% Field based (UK & Overseas - Post Covid-19 Pandemic)
Essential Skill Set:
Experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer working on either production/manufacturing equipment & machinery
Ideally Electrically qualified - not essential
Ideally electrically bias and mechanically competent (3 phase, motors, invertors, sensors, hydraulics, pneumatics)
Customer-facing experience, comfortable in both office, workshop, and factory environments
Strong team player
Good communication skills
Effective time management skills
Ability to work to deadlinesDesirable BUT NOT ESSENTIAL to have:
Rockwell RS5000 OR Siemens S7 PLC programming skills
