At Babcock we're working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Mobile Licensed Aircraft Engineer B1.2 on our LAFT2 contract. The role can be based at any one of our 13 sites but providing support nationwide.

The role

As a Mobile Licensed Aircraft Engineer B1.2, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will help to drive the delivery of the flying activities across our contract alongside your Babcock and Military colleagues by taking a 'Whole Force' approach to our activities and ensuring that Babcock's excellent safety and delivery reputation is always maintained.

Day to day,
Responsible, alongside a team of mechanical and avionic LAE's for the generation and release to service of serviceable and safe aircraft in accordance with civilian legislation/regulation and in line with Babcock company approvals.
You will help to drive the delivery of the flying activities at our sites alongside your Babcock and Military colleagues by taking a 'Whole Force' approach to our activities and ensuring that Babcock's excellent safety and delivery reputation is always maintained.
Ensure aircraft engineering, line and depth maintenance and all other engineering related activities and services are provided as required to always meet and exceed customer expectations and LAFT2 contractual needs.
Coordinating all CAA part 145 paperwork.

Essential experience of the Mobile Licensed Aircraft Engineer B1.2
Specific technical knowledge
Sound understanding of partnering and alliance between customer and contract
EASA Part 66, B1.2 licence
Supervisory experience in a Civil/Military Aviation environment
Ability to demonstrate practical and theoretical standards required
Driving Licence
Knowledge of MOD Engineering procedures/documentation

This role is full time and can be based at any of our LAFT2 sites however the role does demand significant nationwide travel.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
