The company

Successful and growing not for profit organisation in central Bristol offering an exciting opportunity for a Member Services Officer to join their small and friendly team.
This is a full time permanent role working Monday - Friday 09.00 am - 5.00 pm and the salary on offer is £19,000 - £20,000 (depending on experience). Additional benefits will include 24 days holiday plus bank holidays, 4% pension scheme and the option to complete a certificate/diploma for free.

The role
You will be effectively providing a professional and responsive customer service that will grow and retain the company's Individual Membership. You will support the current Individual Members as well as the potential members as part of your role.
You will be reporting to the Head of Operations, and you will be providing individual member liaison, engaging with members and potential members to help maximise the value from their membership. You will manage the monthly rollover process for Individual Members and work with the Head of Operations to recover outstanding debts.
You will be providing administration and coordination of applications as well as liaising with the membership committee. You will also be implementing the agreed Touch Points alongside a wider engagement programme to secure member reach and retention. As well as actively seeking feedback to fully understand expectations and needs, providing effective support within their membership journeys.
You will act as the interface between branches and members, producing reports and maintaining records, offering support to flagship events when required. You will be supporting several administration duties within events and Endorsed Schemes, producing and maintain records and reports. Occasional out of hours support and assistance may be required, you will regularly work with other Member services to provide appropriate support for members.

The person
We are looking for previous, significant experience in customer service as well as administration and appropriate organisational skills within an office environment. Experience of working with a professional body or membership would be desirable. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work within a small team as well as excellent numeracy skills with a focus on accuracy is important for this role.
You'll need to be able to clearly demonstrate your proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as your excellent written and verbal communication skills. You'll need to be confident within your administration and organisational skills and effectively apply them.
