The role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll provide efficient solutions to the development of processes and products, ranging from small component designs to extremely large plants, machinery or platforms to increase productivity.

Day to day, you'll be responsible for the investigation of mechanical issues that prevent the delivery of platforms and equipment across our Army portfolio, travel to all our DSG sites and undertake investigations in the sites.

• Research engineering issues preventing productivity of platforms and components and provide engineering solutions.
• Research and develop products
• Design and implement cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety and reliability
• Develop and use new materials and technologies
• Discuss and solve complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers

Essential experience of the Mechanical Engineer

• Working and delivering with a mechanical engineering environment
• Mange own workload, activity and objectives given

This is a full time role which requires travel to all of our DSG sites.

Qualifications for the Mechanical Engineer

• Mechanical Engineering Degree Level or equivalent workplace experience

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
