Our client is a market leading Aerospace manufacturer based out of Tewkesbury. This is an opportunity to join a fantastic business at the forefront of their industry. Following continued success our client is now looking for a talented Design Engineer to join them on a permanent basis.

Job Description
The successful Design Engineer will be tasked with designing bespoke mechanical and hydraulic assemblies, systems, and components for the aerospace industry. You will be immersed within all aspects of the design process from concept to detail to delivery. The successful candidate will thrive on conceptual design work, being part of a Team, model and drawing creation and managing tasks through to completion.

From start to finish you will be involved in interfacing with the customer to establish the appropriate problem statement, contributing to the development of new products; teaming with other engineering disciplines to ensure the producibilty and integrity of the design straight through to supporting the manufacture and testing of the product.

The successful Design Engineer will possess the following Key Expertise:
HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline such as Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical and hydraulic design experience
Experience of conceptual and detailed design of complex systems and mechanisms
Experience of working with a design package e.g. Siemens NX
Understanding of manufacturing/machining processes
Understanding and Knowledge of GD&T
