Job Description

Managing Quantity Surveyor
Building Main Contractor
£65,000-£70,000 + Package

Are you a Main Contracting Lead QS and perhaps looking to take that next step into Managing Surveying? Perhaps you're looking for a new challenge with high-value projects as the #2 commercial guy in a £100m turnover business? If you could be interested in this, we may have something for you.

The Business;
For over 50 years, this turnkey construction main contractor have delivered schemes across nearly all sectors within Building, up to the value of c.£50m. With healthy balance split of their £100m turnover across public and private sector, this has enabled them to produce quite a sustainable business model, not heavily reliant on any sector. You'll benefit from the large construction teams within this business that will provide support in all areas of project delivery from commercial, to construction, to planning etc. This is a business that allows you to focus on what's important, the commercials.

The Role:
You'll be stepping into a single-site MQS role for the first project of this role which will be a £30m Mixed Use JCT D&B contract. Reporting into the commercial manager, it will be your full responsibility to manage the commercial team and deliver this project to the best of your ability. As this role progresses and dependent on pipeline, there will be options to move into commercial management and pure Managing Surveying across multi-sites. We'll be looking for you to have delivered large building projects (c.£20m+)previously as the lead main contractors' QS.

Package & Benefits:
In addition to up to £70K base salary, you'll receive a car allowance of £7K, Pension 7.5%, Private Healthcare, Dental & Optical Plans and 25 days holiday. In addition to this there's a vast amount of room to progress here and we would happily speak with people who've not been an MQS before, as the commercial lead experience is more important.
