Working 37.5 hours a week, you will To direct and control the hospital maintenance and transport services, deploying available resources to meet the business needs within budgetary constraints.

You will be responsible for ensuring the equipment and facilities are well stocked and fit for purpose, which will see you will regularly conduct audits to identify and prioritise curative maintenance and repair services.

*There is an out-of-hours aspect to this role, which will see you ensure that the on-call rota is covered

Your responsibilities will include:

Organise and implement a planned preventative maintenance schedule to optimise standards, availability and performance of hospital plant, equipment, buildings and grounds.
Ensure adequate records of the planned maintenance and test results, e.g. Equipment logs, fire alarm logs.
Manage the operation, prioritising a curative maintenance and repair service for hospital plant, equipment, buildings and grounds.
Ensure an adequate stock of materials and spare parts are held to meet routine and emergency needs.
Maintain an out of hour's on-call emergency maintenance, transport and ground maintenance.
Maintain a register of all authorised drivers for insurance purposes, ensuring that all drivers on the register meet the hospital requirements.
Administer a procedure for recording vehicle usage that includes the reporting of accidents.
Work with the team in order to achieve organisational and company objectives.To be successful as a Maintenance Supervisor, you'll need:

City and Guilds, and/or ONC/HND in the relevant technical qualification
Full driving licence
ISOH/NEBOSH Health and Safety
In-depth knowledge of plant and ancillary equipment
Supervisory and training skills
Previous maintenance experience desirable.What you will get:
