Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to work in the Oxfordshire area, based in Wallingford.

Your day to day duties will include:

To maintain and repair all equipment safely and efficiently, both on the company’s anaerobic digestion facilities, and its customers’, ensuring the plants remain on-line and available with the minimum possible downtime.

The main responsibilities for the Maintenance Engineer are:
  • Liaise with plant managers to deliver effective support
  • Maintenance of;
    • Pumps
    • Valves
    • Screw conveyors
    • Gearbox drive units
    • Heating circuits
    • Macerators
    • Hammermills
    • Mixers
  • Provide thorough method statements and risk assessments for all tasks
  • Build and improve on a thorough planned preventative maintenance program
  • Provide basic training for site operatives
  • Deliver planned improvements and refurbishments

For the Maintenance Engineer role the following skills are required:
  • Knowledge of  similar processes
  • Working knowledge of substrate pumps
  • Practical environmental and working safely knowledge
  • Experience of working within a regulated environment
  • Computer literate
  • Electrical competence an advantage
  • First Aid an advantage
  • Telehandler certificate an advantage              
  • Confined space trained
  • UK driving licence
The core hours are 0700-1700, there is overtime during the week and weekend.

Salary is up to £35k with an annual bonus of £2k.
