As a Fabrication Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Mission Systems is a thriving and growing business unit within Mission Systems. We are transforming and we need you to support us in forging new paths, contributing as we grow through exciting, but sometimes challenging change.
Day to day, you'll carry out mig/tig weld framework, steel metal work and panel work on various metals using engineering machines (turning/milling), computer controlled punch machine and other equipment associated with fabrication. You must be able to work with engineering drawings and contribute to the compilation of designs and verbal briefs occasionally whilst maintaining excellent standards of housekeeping and ensuring works are compliant with applicable regulations and best industry practices

A specialist in your sector who can work to high quality standards, in a timely manner ensuring production schedules are met. You will be expected to have the experience and knowledge to apply best practices to your work, working from engineering drawings or undertaking the design yourself. Time welding will be minimal and you will be expected to assist in other manufacturing tasks.
GCSE - Maths, English
Engineering apprenticeship (fabrication/welding)
Minimum Level 3 Qualification in Fabrication Engineering
First Aid at Work or equivalent
SC clearance to start with the ability to get DV clearance
