Do you want to join our fantastic stewarding team at Lord's, the "Home of Cricket" and one of the most famous sporting venues in the World?

Marylebone Cricket Club (the Club) is the world's most active cricket club, custodian of the Laws of Cricket and is also the owner of Lord's Ground. The MCC and Lord's brands are renowned worldwide and are synonymous with excellence, prestige and providing an enjoyable customer experience, that goes beyond just "service."

Lord's is an exceptional venue with an experienced, positive, and professional stewarding team, who are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the Ground, whilst delivering exceptional customer service on both match days and non-match days. We believe that our Stewards are crucial to making an amazing first impression, and creating these experiences.

Despite the challenges of a global pandemic, we are planning for a complete calendar of fixtures in 2021 and we are hopeful that these fixtures will be played in front of large numbers of cricket-loving supporters.

No prior stewarding experience required. While welcomed, is not essential as we can help you gain the skills, expertise and knowledge you need - but only if you have the passion for people, and the drive to ensure that everyone who comes to our world famous cricket ground receives exceptional service every time.

All Match Day Stewards applying for the position must be available for 75% of Major Match Days. This equates to a minimum of working 13 out of the 19 Major Match Days in 2021.


Wednesday 2nd to Sunday 6th June: England v New Zealand Test Match
Saturday 10th July: England v Pakistan One Day International (ODI)
Thursday 12th to Monday 16th August: England v India Test Match
Dates to be confirmed: Four T20 Blast fixtures
Dates to be confirmed: Four Hundred fixtures

With the ongoing challenges surrounding Covid-19, the MCC will be conducting the majority of its recruitment process online. The recruitment process will follow four distinct stages.

Stage One - Application - With your CV and cover note, we will ask you to submit a short video explaining what interests you about this role and why you're the right person for the job.

Stage Two - Interview - You will be invited to attend a video-call interview. This will include some scenario-based questions.

Stage Three - Assessment/Training - Should you be successful during Stages One and Two, you will be asked to complete three modules and a final assessment event. This stage will be held online via Teams and over a week. Each module will last around 120 minutes. Further details would be provided as required.

Stage Four - Registration - Should you completed the other stages, a member of the team we will contact you regarding Steward Registration.
