The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising between customers and suppliers to deliver a high level of customer service. You will need to manage all aspects of the Import process and ensure customers are fully informed of the progress of their shipments to ensure all requirements are met.
This role is very hands on and will involve working both in an office and warehouse environment. It also involves working long unsociable hours usually weekends and bank holidays in busy periods so please consider this when applying.
Act as first point of contact for client queries
Formulate rates and quoting
Process customer invoices
Issue instructions and ensure jobs are collected and delivered on time
Unloading vehicles in the warehouse
Attend exhibitions in both the UK and Europe
The successful candidate will be excellent at developing relationships and be confident when networking with clients face to face. Knowledge of imports/exports/freight forwarding would be ideal but is not essential.
