Aviation

The Logistician is based within our Aviation business area.

The role

The difference our new Logistician will make

As a Logistician, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This role supports the delivery of all the duties outlined below and any/all other Supply Chain related activities and services as required to always meet or exceed customer expectations and contractual needs.

Day to day, you'll carry out any/all logistic duties in accordance with MOD/RAF/Babcock policies, practices and procedures at all times. You'll ensure that all storage areas within the area of responsibility are organised in accordance with current regulations laid down in the Defence Logistics Framework (DLF). You'll follow MOD and Defence Council instructions and any other logistics directives or Babcock policies as issued. You'll be responsible for the physical security of all stocks and buildings under your control and the control and security of any/all computers, printers and related software packages and additional programmes related to the task.

Essential experience
Previous experience in Supply Chain/Logistics environment.
Experience with logistics-based computer systems.
Familiar with Logistics Procedures, Documentation and Stock Holding Groups.
Ability to demonstrate practical and theoretical standards required.
Driving license.
Must be able to achieve security clearance.
