Job Description

Job Purpose:

To ensure that all goods are dispatched in a food safe and timely manner whilst ensuring that all procedures relating to materials, labels, load plans, record keeping and product are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities:

 Responsible for safely operating loading bays including daily checks and reporting.

 To Ensure that all stock awaiting dispatch is correctly stored and identified.

 To ensure that all products are identified by depot.

 Ensuring that all drivers are correctly booked in and that key management and vehicle movement procedures are adhered to.

 Ensuring that all procedures relating to pallet reconciliation are adhered to.

 Responsible for the return, checking-in and control of returned goods.

 Ensuring Stock is picked and dispatched following electronic data capture system protocols and picking sheets.

 Ensuring load plans, temperature checks, and maximum pallet utilisation is undertaken for all out loads.

 Ensure that all dispatch paperwork is completed accurately and on time.

 Ensuring that all procedures relating to data capture are adhered to.

 Ensuring that all FLT and pallet trucks and batteries are operated and charged correctly and safely and that all breakdown and damage is promptly reported.

 To ensure that the work area is kept clean and hazard free.

 To adhere to all aspects of the company hygiene policy and all operational procedures.

Qualifications:

 Educated to NQF level 2 or an equivalent level vocational qualification.


Work Experience:

 Warehouse/Production Experience.

 Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck license.

 Electric Pallet Truck License.


Languages:

 Fluent English – Both written & verbal.

 Additional languages to a verbal standard would be beneficial.



Health & Safety:

• Operate in accordance with the company Health and Safety Policy and all agreed safety procedures. Wear all protective equipment when entering operational areas as appropriate. Adhere and work within company hygiene and medical requirements and ensure all others are also complying.
