An extremely successful international law firm, with a fully dedicated office based in Central Bristol, only a stone's throw from Temple Meads and on all major bus routes, are looking for a Legal Biller to join them. The role is working as a Legal Biller (12 month FTC) in the Firm's Revenue Team and will be reporting directly to the Revenue Team Leader.
You will be working Monday - Friday, Full Time Hours 09.30 - 5.30 pm & receive a salary circa £20,000 - £25,000 depending on experience + amazing benefits listed below.

You will be working directly with the revenue team to assist in the drive to deliver a more pro-active billing and support service to Partners through the provision of a combined WIP management and billing service. You will have involvement in various aspects of the working capital cycle including revenue assistance, bill production and dispatch, and data integrity and capture.
- Data Integrity: review, capture and input of key data items omitted from matter set-up and required to support efficient 'right first time' billing and bill dispatch.
- E-billing: ensure appropriate set-up and maintenance of data for e-billed clients, submit bills to e-billing vendor systems, and monitor submitted bills and resolve any queries.
- Bill Dispatch: collation of details necessary for finance central dispatch and e-billing, updating and maintenance in Aderant of contact details, and assisting with sending bills in line with agreed procedure.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for billing duties; this will include assistance with the preparation and distribution of billing guides to fee-earners and secretaries in accordance with agreed service standards, and generating draft and final bills to the agreed format and structure. These duties will also include the editing of time entries and disbursements including write-offs, cancellation of invoices and preparing credit notes where necessary, ensuring compliance with SAR, VAT & International tax regulation and assistance to partners on matter management issues generally. The candidate will also be expected to undertake ad hoc responsibilities as required as well as liaising effectively with colleagues across all Offices to ensure a seamless service is provided to internal and external clients.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a finance function gained in professional services, preferably a law firm. The candidate will also ideally have knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules and VAT for law firms billing. The Firm is looking for someone who is flexible and able to prioritise deadlines, able to work both as part of a team and unsupervised, and has a confident manner and personal impact to command the respect of others. The candidate will also have good written and verbal communication skills and will be highly PC literate with strong system skills, particularly in Excel and ideally Aderant Expert (or similar).
