Vision for Education are currently looking to appoint a Learning Mentor to join our successful supply team and work in schools across Bolton.

About the role

As a learning Mentor you will be required to:

Support on a 1:1 basis and lead small group sessions.
Provide support in building confidence, aspirations and positive relationships.
Work closely alongside the class teacher, designated school staff and parents to provide the best support possible for the young person.
Support students and staff with effective behaviour management that keeps in line with the school’s policy.
There are opportunities for the role to become permanent with the school after a qualifying period.
About the school

As a Learning Mentor you will be supporting children in Pupil Referral Units and Alternative Provisions
You will have the opportunity to be supported by well-established teams of staff that encourage a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
You will be required to also liaise with the local authority as well as the school regarding the student’s progression.

To be considered for the role of a Learning Mentor you will:

Have a calm, confident and empathetic approach to supporting young people.
Have the ability and desire to inspire young people and re-engage them back into education.
Be able to work in the Bolton area.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for the position of a Learning Mentor are:

Relevant experience of working with children and young people
