Role and Responsibilities:
-Coordinates Learning and Development activities supporting operations functions
-Works as part of the UK Learning & Development Team to support L&D activities
-Develops L&D material to provide support and educational material
-Schedules, manages and reports specific course and training attendance for UK facilities. Records and Communicates department KPI's
-Manages, promotes and maintains appropriate tracking and reporting processes to fulfil L&D management systems, including training identification, on-going plans and communication.
-Supports the development and delivery of training in operational areas, such as SOP development, Job and Task Analysis, HSE Compliance training etc.
-Travels within UK supporting and servicing the above functions.
-Participates in Organisational projects development & delivery, which may include: business requirement analysis, activity design, delivery, etc.
-Performs needs assessments, analyses results, and makes recommendation for required courses and training programs to specific operations requests and identified needs.
-A Point of contact with plant HR & Plant Management team, other departments and outside providers/agencies.
-Facilitates & communicates effectively with all levels of the organisation.
-Supports learning efforts within projects and focuses L&D efforts to maximise business results
-Writes and maintains L&D documentation over time using appropriate tools, technology and educational design processes
-Exercises independent judgement to plan, prioritise, and organise diversified workload
To be considered for the Learning and Development Specialist you must have relevant Learning and Development experience
-Ideally L&D qualification such as CIPD
-Understanding of Manufacturing operations
-Must have excellent communication (verbal and written), organisation, problem resolution, and presentation skills.
-Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation, one to one and group working environments.
-Strong computer skills, including all MS Office applications, HRIS databases preferably SAP systems
-Proven Development of presentation material for broad audiences, confident and comfortable speaking and presenting to mixed groups from operational areas to management teams
-Previous experience within a Learning & Development / Training role is essential.

The company offer a salary of £30,000-£35,000 plus quarterly bonus, health and dental cover, death in service, 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays as well as the opportunity to develop your career further.
