The role

The difference our new Lead test Engineer will make

As a Lead Test Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will lead the test activities required to demonstrate compliance to requirements for complex electronic systems involving software.

Day to day, you'll be responsible for working with SME's to facilitate the design and development of tests to verify / validate functionality. Other activities include capturing, reporting & supporting the analysis of system non-conformities as well as Supporting system software updates, and deployment activities.

The Lead Test Engineer will have the opportunity to help shape the design and architecture as the system matures.

Essential experience
Familiarity with V-model and importance of testing against requirements.
Proven experience of leading Functional Testing activities: running and managing appropriate tests to ensure requirements are met.
Proven experience of leading Non-Functional Testing activities: analysing changes to a product and/or service.
Ability to identify, research and implement effective testing techniques and tools.
Communicating issues and defects to stakeholders.
Experience of Integration testing. Specifically designing appropriate, risk based, end to end system integration tests
Exposure to Continuous Integration and deployment as part of a software release process.
Creation and maintenance of automated tests.
