The difference our new Lead Quantity Surveyor will make

As a Lead Quantity Surveyor you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. As Quantity Surveying (Change) Lead Specialist you will be part of the team responsible for leading the Project Scope, Commercial, Performance and Change Management element of the Project Controls function to drive performance improvement and support the implementation of the Group functional strategy; to establish a functional home responsible for the development and growth of our Project Controls capability. Working with the sector functional leads, you will work towards the development and implementation of consistent processes and procedures to drive best practice and performance improvement across the business.

Day to day, you'll act as subject matter expert for Scope, Commercial and Change Management across the business. Assist in the development adequate performance management process and procedures. Work with Sector functional teams to manage the development of standardised processes and ways of working for Scope, Commercial, Performance and Change Management to ensure consistency and best practice. Manage strategic interface between cost finance systems and sector specific ways of working to ensure consistency and best practice maintained. Work with sector specific senior management to roll out and imbed the application of best practice in requirements management, budgeting, and cost control, financial, change and benefits management.

Essential experience
Ideally a bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying /engineering/project/construction management or a related field
Advanced knowledge of cost management techniques
Advanced Estimating, Quantity surveying and Quantitative risk analysis experience
Worked on multiple projects of varying products and services and across a number of lifecycle phases
APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) and APM Project Planning & Controls - Practitioner
Experience and Company/Industry Knowledge
