Qualifications – Work based qualifications relevant to the role would be advantageous (NPTC certification or similar) such as; pesticides, ATV, CSCS Card, basic chainsaw.
Knowledge - An understanding of the landscaping and forestry industry would be preferred.
Experience – Ideally the candidate will have some experience within a relevant discipline i.e. landscaping, grounds maintenance, fencing or forestry together with some experience of leading or supervising teams.
Skills –Good work ethic with the ability to work as part of a team
Enthusiastic and motivated
Ability to communicate efficiently with team members
Good health and safety culture
Full UK Driving Licence is essential (licence to tow a trailer would be preferred but not essential)
Main Duties – The successful candidate will work within our existing landscaping teams undertaking a wide range of landscaping and grounds maintenance contracts. Reporting to the supervisor foreman and contracts managers. Typical duties will leading teams, supervising quality and productivity along with ensuring that health and safety requirements are being fulfilled. The majority of the work will be based within the North West of England however candidates should be aware that working away from home may be required to suit individual contract requirements. Candidates should be aware that the role will involve the use of plant, machinery and equipment and will include physical exertion (manual handling etc.).
Training Delivery – Training will be delivered to the candidate through a combination of in-house training and external training providers. Experience in supervising work activities will be gained on a daily basis via in house training on the job. These new found skills / experiences will be backed up with recognised qualifications which will be delivered by external training providers. Typical qualifications that may be undertaken:
