Job Description

Junior Sous Chef - Northampton - Contract Catering - £24,000 - £26,000

Hours: Monday to Friday 7am - 3.30pm


Blue Arrow Milton Keynes are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious B and I site based in Northampton, but commutable from Milton Keynes.  To assist with the preparation, presentation and service delivery of the catering requirement of the site to the company's standard and the client's satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

To maintain a Healthy, Safe and Secure environment ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety and Food Hygiene legislation

Catering for around 400 main meals per day

Fresh food environment

To assist with food service, ordering, preparation, presentation and stock control

Basic food preparation to high standards following recipes

To serve on counters and to present food

Ensure that sections are cleaned regularly

Ensure service temperatures are checked and recorded

To create, maintain and enhance effective customer relationships, including team members, the client and individuals

Ensure comments and complaints are passed on immediately to managers

Ensure high standards of personal hygiene

Ensure all accidents and faulty equipment is reported to the manager

Attend all training sessions

Skills Experience and Attributes

Catering Qualifications needed NVQ Level 1 and 2 or equivalent
Demonstrate and encourage good customer services skills.
Comply with all company policies/procedures.
Comply with all legislative requirements.
Must be able to communicate in English
Passionate about food
Flexible, adaptable approach to work
