The role
The difference our new Junior Project Manager will make
As a Junior Project Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will play a key role in growing our contracts and building strong customer relationships. You will drive growth and have the opportunity to work at the front of delivering some key UK Defence and Security contracts.
Day to day, acting as a key member of the Project Management Office, you will provide support on end-to-end project management support on a portfolio of engineering projects and work packages ensuring that the delivery teams understand cost, time and quality requirement and remain co-ordinated in their approach to delivering scopes of work.
Supporting a Senior Project Manager, you will assist in providing end-to-end delivery throughout the project lifecycle and be responsible for supporting with requirements capture, scoping, technical and commercial solutions and the generation of pricing models, gate review and proposal documentation.
You will ensure provision of operational risk and change management techniques to ensure business' risk exposure is kept to a minimum and that we are balancing flexibility to changing customer requirements with the need for robust commercial agreements.

Essential experience
Currently has an adequate understanding of Construction (Design and Management) 2015 Regulations.
Project Management expertise - especially in requirements capture, risk, financial and commercial management.
Relationship management - building effective working relationships with key customers, internal stakeholders and suppliers where appropriate.
Teamwork - must be a strong team player, offering support to colleagues at all levels of the business with a willingness to share skills and knowledge.
Business acumen and consultative selling skills - seen by customer as a trusted advisor rather than sales person.
Technical - a light background in, or a general understanding of, mechanical, electrical, data and minor construction disciplines would be advantageous, but not essential.
Currently possess (or be willing to gain) recognised project management qualifications or memberships i.e. Member of the Association of Project Managers (MAPM), APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or PRINCE2/Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalents
Currently possess (or be willing to gain) a formal, appropriate Health and Safety Qualification. For example, SMSTS or IOSH qualification.
