telent currently seek an experienced Project Manager to drive NRTS Transformation Projects and Best Practice.

NRTS (National Roads Telecommunication Services) is a £500m programme awarded to telent to transform the network of communication and control that Highways England uses to monitor and manage England's motorways and major trunk roads, it is a critical component of national infrastructure supporting the country's 4,400-mile strategic road network.

The transformation programme comprises of 11 technology projects, including the introduction of new wireless and IP CCTV services, new management systems and the next-generation upgrade of all technology, this will ultimately enable Highways England to prepare for the future and enable safer roads, more efficient delivery and a better road user experience.

Development and assurance that the project's internal and external reports meet the client and business objectives

Strong and effective Stakeholder Management skills

Use of effective Communication plans to allow distribution of project information to all stakeholders

Refining requirements, templates and mechanisms to allow measurement and regular reporting against KPIs (internal and external)

Reporting financial and resource performance internally and externally through Oracle and client reports

Ensure correct project management methodology including identification of best practice and alignment to customer specific requirements is adhered to by team members

Setup and management of gate review process for project workstreams

Maintenance and reporting of the project risk, issue, assumptions and dependency register

PRINCE 2 Practitioner

Effective Leader of teams

Previous experience in a Public sector Programme/Project Environment

In depth experience of delivering and ICT projects in a complex technical environment, within a regulated customer facing environment

Project planning, scheduling, testing and process mapping experience.

Information, application and technical architecture principles awareness

Management of 3rd party application providers for the delivery of professional services engagements.

Creation of clear and concise documentation.

Microsoft Project expertise

Oracle experience

Excellent communication skills

Ability to describe complex solution simply in a non technical manner

Excellent financial appreciation and total cost of ownership for solutions

Experience of delivering in a service managed environment with multiple ICT partners

Customer focused to ensure that business requirements and expectations are effectively managed, and incidents & problems are resolved in a timely manner

Degree level qualification in suitable discipline/equivalent experience
