My client is designs and manufactures of specialist equipment and is a solutions provider for people or organisations which require complex care. They are a market leader in their field with ambitions to grow. They are looking to recruit an IT Technician to supports the business ensuring the local IT systems and the staff IT assets function effectively. The IT engineer will look to develop the systems, including SAP Business 1, to make the company more efficient. To co-ordinate additional third party IT Support.
Main functions and responsibilities
*To make IT systems as effective as possible
*Deliver 'help-desk' support to the local staff and to the remote field service and sales staff.
*Work closely with:
oEveryone within the business
oThird party IT support companies
*To ensure the local intranet functions correctly including access to the local and cloud drives, functioning of printers and telephone systems etc.
*Manage the mobile phone contract
*Order and deploy new IT equipment as required by the management team for new staff
*Recommend equipment improvements to the managing director
*Work closely with third party IT support specifically for the servers and website
*To investigate and implement improvements in the systems that support the whole business
*To develop reports in SAP B1 that deliver management information to the teams
*To implement new systems to support the office and the remote staff
*To work with the QHSE engineer and management teams to document and optimise the business processes
