As a member of the IT Team your primary role will be, but not limited to, the provision of supporting all users in the use of both hardware and software for the group.
In addition to this you will assist in the monitoring and support of the company's IT back office and infrastructure.
To provide telephone, remote and on-site technical support to all users of the various IT systems based at any of the company's locations within the UK.
To provide assistance to all users in the use of the company's main business ERP system (Chairman).
To monitor the company's back office system, including servers, storage, LAN and WAN environment and to report/assist in ensuring that systems operate to the most efficient levels possible.
To install and configure new hardware and software as required.
To assist in the role out of new systems and procedures.
To set-up new user accounts as required.
To set-up and maintain domain security groups and server storage permissions.
To take part in system upgrades/replacements as part of improvement projects.
Ensure that in house backup procedures are followed and completed in accordance with the IT departments standards.
Previous user support or helpdesk experience in a small team.
Ability to communicate with users of all abilities.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems such as Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Windows Server 2012
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office based applications, such as Word and Excel.
Knowledge of VMWare virtualized server environment.
Experience of Hardware installation and configuration.
Excellent time keeping and a flexible approach to working patterns. Full UK Driving License and own transport.
Salary up to 30k depending on experience
