The difference the Information Technology Security Officer will make
Defence Systems Technology depends on information systems to deliver contracts and grow its business. The successful individual will be crucial in providing sound technical advice and innovative ideas to safeguard these information systems and ensure that they support the commercial needs of the business. They will be innovative and diligent, and work within an expanding team who are dedicated to delivering flexible, effective and efficient security solutions.
Who we are looking for
To be successful you should have significant experience of working in a similar role and possess an in depth understanding of security requirements. You should be experienced at analysing and minimising risk within an IT environment and experienced in ISO27001.
You should also have experience within defence or another heavily regulated environment along with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You should be confident and decisive and show initiative with the ability to build relationships at all levels. You should have well developed IT skills and a working knowledge of GDPR.
Finally, we would like you to be qualified to degree level or equivalent. CISSP, CISM or similar qualifications highly advantageous and you should hold SC security clearance - or have the ability to achieve this level of clearance.
