In this role you MUST be extremely competent in all aspects of Excel, for example pivot tables, graphs and formula's. The key aspect of this role is high usage level of excel, so all suitable candidates must have advanced excel skills.
Engage directly with tactical stakeholders, including lines of business, Procurement and Logistics
Carry out supervision of subordinates (will vary from individual to individual)
Focus on specific areas of specialism within the Inventory Management portfolio
Lead the MRP process daily for specific categories and ensure stock purchase orders placed promptly
Manage supplier performance on a day to day basis through regular contact
Undertake tactical procurement where necessary (ie where framework contracts do not exist)
Maintain and improve KPI performance and take corrective action where necessary
Model the inventory profile in the area controlled to meet the current and future planned inventory values.
Produce forecasts with the aid of SAP and the lines of business in order to set re-order and max stock levels
Compliance with Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
Control the set up of new items and deletion of old items including communications with tactical contracts
Prioritise supplier deliveries to minimise risk of stock outs.
Lead specific projects as direct by the Inventory Controllers to deliver improved quality and service levels
Develop strategies for savings opportunities within the modelled inventory holdings.
Demonstrable experience of managing relationships
Customer relationship interface at tactical level
Project completion to timelines
Experience in complex data analysis
Previous experience of inventory software applications
Ability to communicate and influence at all levels
Understanding of customer business
