Package description

Band 3 - £23,039 to £27,784 (plus unsocial hours payment)

37 hours per week, 27 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, defined contribution pension scheme, company sick pay, group discount scheme.

There is an expectation that operational staff work regular evenings and weekends to enable service users to be supervised without jeopardising their employment.

The role will be based in Accrington however you will be expected to cover across Cumbria and Lancashire which includes evening cover.

Candidates must have a full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle - the role requires travel across the Counties (Cumbria and Lancashire) and within each County.  Mileage within County is paid and travel outside of the County will warrant the use of the Hire Car scheme.

Main responsibilities

As an Interventions Facilitator you will be required to prepare and deliver individual and group interventions to service users.  Programmes tackle Drink/Driving, Offending Behaviour, Violence, Substance misuse and other key causes of crime.

The preparation of reports and other documentation is a key requirement of the role and you will be required to liaise with other departments within Cumbria & Lancashire CRC to ensure continuity for service users during their supervision.

Applications are particularly welcome from individuals who are accredited to deliver any of the following group work programmes;

  • Building Better Relationships programme (BBR)
  • Thinking Skills programme (TSP)
  • Drink Impaired Drivers programme (DID)
  • Resolve programme

Full training will be provided and you will be required to pass specific training in order to be confirmed in post.

Ideal candidate
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills both in a group and on an individual basis
  • Ensure the key principles of the programme are understood, delivered and the integrity of accredited programme is maintained
  • Have the ability to respond appropriately to challenge, conflict or questions within the programme environment
  • Demonstrate good verbal, numeracy and written skills
  • Be flexible and show initiative
  • Demonstrate a strong team ethic. 
  • Have experience of working with a variety of people who have experienced a range of social/personal difficulties 
  • Have a basic knowledge of the Criminal Justice System
