The Indirect Tax Analyst role is based within our Babcock Corporate Services (BCS) business unit.
Babcock Corporate Services (BCS) is a global function, with our largest site being Lakeside in Portsmouth, but we operate from multiple sites around the world. BCS supplies and operates all IT, security, procurement, and finance Shared Services. We are embedded alongside the operations that we serve, enabling us to maintain close working relationships that support delivery to our customers. We drive standardisation, simplification and automation across Babcock, to help generate sustainable value for the group and our external customers.
The difference our new Indirect Tax Analyst will make:
As an Indirect tax Analyst, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary, through supporting the Indirect Tax Manager, ensuring tax compliance obligations for indirect taxed and some employment taxes are met.
Day to day, you'll be reviewing and interrogating data, interpreting information and supporting the provision of indirect tax advice throughout the wider business.

Demonstratable experience in indirect tax focused position.
Ideally, possess or working towards / willing to work towards a relevant professional qualification but, not essential (ACA, ACCA, CTA, AAT, ACMA, CIMA)
Prior exposure of working in large organisations would be an advantage.
Ability to demonstrate an understanding of financial and accounting principles.
Desire to further develop expertise within Indirect tax, in an in-house environment.
