Job Description

Local authority are looking for a Soft Services Manager for an expected duration of 12 weeks. You will be working full time (36:00 hr:min) Mon-Fri with a start date of 30/09/19. As the soft services manager you will assist the leadership and strategic partners to deliver a comprehensive program of soft FM services ranging from cleaning, security, mail room, hospitality, and room bookings. You will be responsible for ensuring that properties have the required standards of service and will lead a team of supervisors and operatives in delivering service excellence and a welcoming customer focused services. 

Requirements essential to the role include:

  • IOSH managing safety level
  • Excellent financial management and report publishing skills
  • Extensive experience of managing a multi-discipline Soft FM Service team for multiple different types of properties with a minimum annual budget of £2million 
  • Computer literacy, including e-mail, social media, internet, MS Office and helpdesk packages
Due to the mobile nature of this position it has hazards other than routine office including: 

  • working at different location
  • working in plant rooms, on roofs, basements and on roofs to inspect facilities
  • wearing PPE 

There will also be a small element of office based work and liaising with external agencies, internal colleagues and members of the public. You will be a people's manager so must be able to deal with issues on the spot.
