Job Description

My client based in Ulverston is looking for a friendly, professional, confident and articulate individual to assist the Head of HR in providing a generalist HR service to approximately 70 staff (and growing!) This is an exciting opportunity to gain fantastic HR exposure in a dynamic and swiftly expanding global e-commerce business.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting with the recruitment process and all onboarding administration (applicant sourcing, posting job adverts, arranging interviews, taking up references, contracts of employment, setting up new starter files, etc)

Assisting with employee induction and training

Answer employee queries on HR related issues

Assist payroll department by providing relevant employee information

Contributing towards Health & Safety and wellbeing activities throughout the business

Maintaining accurate holidays and sickness absence records and employee files

Reporting on HR metrics, e.g. sickness absence, staff turnover

Support and co-ordinate the development and implementation of company initiatives and processes, including performance reviews

Organising social functions

Requirements:

Must have previous experience within a HR role

Ideally have attained or be working towards CIPD qualification (level 5 or above preferable)

Organised and efficient in order to meet deadlines and deliver objectives

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels

Strong work ethic with initiative, flexibility and reliability

Good working knowledge of employment law

IT literate

Hours:

Part-time hours to be agreed, flexibility on days/times provided they are within the core office hours of 9-5pm

Due to covid-19, all staff are currently homeworking and this will continue for the remainder of 2020. The situation will be reassessed in early 2021 and if staff are brought back to the office the HR role will be an office-based role.
