What is the purpose of this role?

Our client, a water utilities company based in the Thames Valley is looking for an HR Coordinator to provide the business with specified central HR administrative support at their head office in Reading.

You will be working in a fast, dynamic team with ample opportunity to make a difference. This unique opportunity allows you to play a major part in supporting the operation of our client's HR Services, which provide essential and integral support to over 5,500 employees.

What will this role involve?

You will act as a first point of contact for customer enquiries - forwarding specialist requests to other members of the HR department, as appropriate.

You will maintain data using company specific systems ensuring that records are accurate and up-to-date.

Part of your role includes you generating and issuing formal documentation, such as employment contracts. Full training will be provided.

Additional tasks include you undertaking ad-hoc project work when required.

On a daily basis you will be communicating with a broad range of people, helping them with a wide variety of queries, and giving them excellent customer service, which in turn business continuous improvements

What skills are we looking for?

Our client is seeking a candidate with good organisational and customer service skills. You will be a strong administrator, with excellent attention to detail. You will be educated to GCSE level, or equivalent.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to multi-task & work under pressure and have great interpersonal and communications skills.

Additional skills that are preferable, but not essential, are a practical knowledge of HR processes (e.g. pre-employment screening, annual leave, leavers), SAP and Microsoft packages (mainly Word and Excel)

As previous HR experience is desirable, but not essential for this varied administrative role, it would suit also suit someone looking to move into HR.

The role pays £10.90 an hour and the working week is 36 hours.
