*Support day to day operational HR issues
*Administration and data input using HR databases and management reporting requirements
*Provide support to Managers on appraisals / performance management, employment legislation, discipline / grievances
*Support the recruitment of new employees covering all aspects from authorisation, advertising, dealing with agencies, interviews, assessment centres, open days / recruitment fairs, occupational testing and job offers
*Support in the induction and on boarding for new starters
*Work with Managers, Occupational Health & Welfare to manage and improve absenteeism within the business
*Implement and improve policies, procedures and processes within the Human Resources Department and ensure legal compliance at all times
*Process paperwork for outsourced payroll including, new starters, leavers, sickness, salary increases, appraisals, pensions
*Actively participate in Cost reduction and continuous improvement activities
*Provide ad-hoc project support within HR team
*Understanding of the basic principles and functions of Human Resources within a HR department and a willingness to build on that knowledge.
*Experience of working in a busy HR department
*Demonstrates a strong interest in Human Resources and how it fits into all areas of the business.
*Relevant administrative experience
*Ability to deliver a high accuracy return on tasks completed and demonstrates strong analytical skills
*Excellent organisational skills
*Good interpersonal and communication skills
*A positive, 'can do' attitude
*Strong IT skills, especially Word, Excel and Powerpoint
*'Part-CIPD qualified' as an essential requirement with at least a level 3.
