Vision for Education are seeking to employ a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work within a Primary School in the Newcastle area. This is a full-time role, working between the hours of 08:30-15:30, commencing at the beginning of January 2023. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

The role

The successful candidate will be covering across the whole school from Early Years-Year 6, therefore experience across the board would be ideal, although not essential. The HLTA will be expected to deliver the class teachers planning throughout the week and will be expected to mark all of the work that they deliver.

This is a modern School based in the outskirts of Newcastle City Centre with great transport routes. The Head Teacher wants to employ a confident and hardworking HLTA to join their team to deliver outstanding teaching for all children to progress.


To be considered for the Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) position, you will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Be comfortable working across the school from Early Years – Year 6.
Be able to work independently and as part of a team to support pupils learning and development.
Have excellent knowledge of the Curriculum.
