|Salary||£300 - £360 per day||Sector||Manufacturing & Industrial|
As a Health and Safety Manager you will be responsible for day to day safety across an extremely busy site in Staffordshire, as well as holding responsibility for three EU and International sites. As a result you MUST have experience of UK, EU and International legislation, and have demonstrable experience of working in a Regional role covering multiple locations. This role has responsibility for Health, Safety and Environmental issues so NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent is essential (as well as Grad or Chartered IOSH membership) but it would be extremely beneficial for the ideal candidate to also hold an Environmental Diploma or degree. Due to the level of the role. a qualification in management or leadership would also be a distinct advantage but not a deal breaker. The role will involve working very closely with the companies management systems, so a lead auditor qualification would also be extremely beneficial.
The role involves working with senior stakeholders, as well as operational staff, so you will need to be an engaging professional capable of working at all levels, with a head for operational work and strategy. Although the role has a international remit due to the contract nature of the role you will be based from the Staffordshire site and it is unlikely that you will need to travel, however you will need to be prepared for this eventually.
This role requires someone with a really excellent understanding of the risk involved in a chemical environment, and ideally you will have worked extensively within chemical manufacturing, or similar (such as pharmaceutical or other manufacturing).
In return, you will receive a day rate of £300-360 per day (dependent on experience). For more information please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
