Mission Systems
The Head of Logistics role is based within our Mission Systems business area

The role
The difference our new Head of Logistics will make
As a Head of Logistics, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Reporting to the Mission Systems Procurement Director, the Mission Systems Head of Logistics will have responsibility for managing the execution of logistics activity across the Mission Systems Business Unit.
Day to day, you'll ensure that Inventory is stored and distributed with requisite skill, care, and compliance (Requires a detailed understanding of the size, weight, security classification and other special handling characteristics associated with specialist material). Accurately forecast Mission Systems Warehousing requirements by maintaining a detailed assessment of bulk and palletised storage needs and capture specific business requirements and advises the same to Category Management for inclusion in ITT or RFx documents.

Essential experience
Qualified to degree level or equivalent
MCIPS, MCILT or other equivalent professional qualifications
Subject matter expertise in management of Logistics. Proven experience with Materials handling, stock management, 3PL, 4PL, Air, Sea, and Road Freight
Significant experience of both Leadership and Followship in high performance teams.
Experience of supporting projects with logistics requirements of varying scale and complexity.
Obtain or have the ability to obtain SC clearance
