Position: Head Chef
Location: Basingstoke, RG25
Salary: up to £35,000 per annum
Type: Permanent

Are you an experienced Head Chef or Strong Sous Chef seeking a vibrant, fresh and exciting opportunity? Would you consider yourself to be an individual with lots of creativity and flair for producing beautiful dishes? Do you relish in the management and leadership of a kitchen team?
This position offers you unrivalled experience and an opportunity to demonstrate your excellence in a beautiful, traditional country pub. You will be leading a fantastic team of chefs creating exceptional fresh food dishes. This is a quality based environment that is fun, engaging and rewarding, with plenty of support to help you along the way.

You will be responsible for the management and development of kitchen team, ensuring smooth service delivery to create beautiful menus for up to 80 covers per service.

Must have:
* Head Chef in a similar 'fresh food' environment
* Experience of menu writing and costing
* Committed to service delivery and ensuring compliance with food and health and safety legislation
* Experienced in the preparation, cooking and presentation of fresh food and seasonal produce
* Strong initiative by incorporating ideas to create new specials whilst improving the food and service
* A positive attitude with a passion to deliver top quality food
* A dedicated approach to the development and training of the Sous Chef, Chef de Partie's and Commis Chefs
* Ordering and stock control management
* Health and Safety and Food Hygiene Level 2
* Hardworking and reliable team player
