Job title: Head chef
Location: Chichester – outskirts, Sussex 
Contract type: Permanent – full time
Salary: basic salary of £30,000 P/A with paid overtime and tips
Hours: Service between 5.30pm-7.30pm, latest finish 9pm ; straight shifts. 40 hours + 
Shifts:  5 days a week, combining weekday and weekend shifts

We have an excellent opportunity for a Head chef role within a fresh food led establishment based in Chichester. 

In this role you will be in charge of a team of strong chefs, producing quality food cooked from scratch with local produce.

This role is for someone who has a passion for food and ability to manage a team in a high volume environment.  

Due to location own transport is not essential as it is easy to get to by public transport.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Producing dishes to meet the required standard
  • To write and develop menus
  • To run restaurant section
  • To work with and manage relationships with suppliers.
  • To manage all necessary administration duties, including completion of daily sheets, Checking of deliveries.
  • To ensure that the kitchen maintains the highest standards of hygiene and is always run within the guidelines
  • To run restaurant section 


Required Skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • A “can-do” attitude
  • A strong command of the English language
  • A flexible approach to work and the ability to work unsupervised
