Head Chef/kitchen manager Full time 42.5 Hours per week over 5 days 8am - 5pm (occasional evenings and flexibility will required)

Working in an award winning upper end Farm Shop & Café who provide locally sourced fresh produce from the estate and pride themselves on quality that continues to grow from strength to strength. Our client begins 2020 with an exciting investment in their café operation with a brand new kitchen, extended seating and a great new look.
This is a really exciting time to join the team in the new role of Head Chef/ Kitchen Manager where you can make your own mark on the business, helping this heritage business achieve their goals to become a market leader for quality, service and food excellence. You will develop the café menu to move the food offering to another level in readiness for the launch of the new café in early March 2020.
You will take a 'hands on' role in which you will train and lead a kitchen team, and work with the front of house management team to produce food which represents the amazing brand.
We are looking for an experienced and ambitious chef, with a record of successfully managing a team in a fast paced kitchen environment.
Working with the Café and Farm Shop senior management team, you will ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen and grow the café business through product development and innovation. You will have demonstrable skills and knowledge gained through relevant industry experience. You will require food production and kitchen management skills gained in a similar environment, alongside a current working knowledge of statutory compliance. The ability to manage a team and to create exciting and modern menus is a must!
